A truly versatile 10 – 15cc (or equivalent electric) sport aircraft that combines classic stick lines with the satisfaction of building it yourself and making a true one-off.
Designed with the sport flyer in mind, the Classic Ugly Stick 71 is a kit that’s easy to assemble and great fun fly. The airframe is conventionally constructed from quality laser-cut balsa and plywood to make it incredibly strong while keeping the overall weight low. Since many of the parts are self-jigging, assembly is a joy, the result being a model that’s built straight and, hence, performs beautifully. Flying the Classic Ugly Stick is simply a joy. With reduced control throws it makes a great aileron trainer. Increase the movements and it’s capable of a wide range of aerobatics and, accordingly, never fails to satisfy the experienced sport pilot.
