New Tooling. Markings for 2 aircraft printed by Cartograf: (1) B-25J11-NC, s/n 43-36041, 501st BS/345th BG, Tacloban, Leyte, January 1945; (2) B-25J-2-NC, s/n 43-27559, 30th BS/310th BG, Naples, Italy, late Spring 1945.
Noseweight included.
L: 345.0mm, W: 428.6mm, Total parts 249.
Versatile WWII US Air Force twin-engine medium bomber named in memory of US General William “Billy” Mitchell who’d advocated the USA’s increased air power after WWI, and became known as the ‘father of the US Air Force’. The “J” was the final variant, first operational in 1944 and produced in the greatest numbers.
